    We are aggressively recruiting an experienced General Manager for our BMW of Peabody franchise. 

    Qualified applicants will possess strong business experience with profit/loss management background and prior center management experience.  Upper-management experience including hiring, training, coaching and counseling skills are necessary.  The primary responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

    Ø  Assume accountability for overall operations and profitability of each department in the center

    Ø  Oversee and ensure effective staffing, tools and work environment to retain staff and clients, and grow the business

    Ø  Establish and monitor strategic and tactical plans with the center management team

    Ø  Acts as primary liaison between center staff and Dealer Principal/manufacturer staff

    Ø  Determine staffing levels. Perform or oversee the performance, hiring, training, coaching, counseling and development of employees

    Ø  Directly supervise, monitor, appraise and manage on a regular basis the performance of management staff.  Establish specific corrective action measures when necessary.

    Ø  Clearly articulate center goals and facilitate their achievement. Ensure management policies and procedures are understood by all team members.  Maintain high morale, low turn-over and a team approach

    Ø  Provide leadership for a coach management staff to ensure maximum sales, customer satisfaction and profits.  Design and implement long and short-range development plans for the management personnel

    Ø  Formulate policies and establish procedures for training programs in all departments

    Ø  Hold regularly schedule manager meetings to ensure that every department is operating efficiently and profitably

    Ø  Outline all responsibilities and determine objectives, strategies, compensation and bonuses on a department-by-department basis.  Re-evaluate organization structure and redefine responsibilities as circumstances or business conditions change

    Ø  Foster a customer-centered service philosophy and team approach among all employees.  Achieve high ratings for customer satisfaction per internal customer surveys and by external measurements (industry surveys)

    Ø  Maintain ongoing communication with buyers through direct phone calls, center surveys, and center sponsored buyer events.

    Ø  Increase center business and market share by developing and meeting aggressive volume sales goals, from both existing and new customer sources, for new cars, used cars, parts and accessories, financing and insurance and retailer services.  Oversee dealership operations planning.

    Ø  Maximize profits by properly pricing products and by setting and achieving target levels of gross profit for all products and services sold

    Ø  Set and achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective action.  Prepare annual and monthly forecasts and plans.  Meet with managers individually to develop monthly and annual goals and objectives, and to review actual performance

    Ø  Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.  Provide status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting and reporting financial data

    Ø  Monitor the daily operating control, recommending improved courses of action where necessary.  Provide dealer principal with accurate weekly reports on the financial condition of the dealership

    Ø  Ensure regular use of sales prospecting, traffic control, and follow-up systems to increase retailer business

    Ø  Offer balanced and representative new and used vehicle inventories and maintain the security and good condition of those vehicle inventories

    Ø  Ensure safe and proper maintenance and use of physical resources, including exterior display and parking, showroom area, display systems and demonstrator vehicles

    Ø  Conduct area market analysis and develop merchandising strategies.  Assist in creating effective, cost-efficient advertising programs

    Ø  Resolve any customer complaints that department managers are unable to rectify

    Ø  Upgrade knowledge of products and services and maintain professional and technical expertise by attending trade shows and/or educational programs, establishing personal network, reviewing industry publications, and participating in professional societies

    We are seeking a Pre-Owned Dept. technician to work in our internal department preparing our pre-owned vehicles for sale. Experience with German brand vehicles favorable, but will consider an experienced technician wanting to transition.
